Email & SMS templates
To improve reps’ efficiency and help ensure your organization has a unified voice and branding, Enablement users are able to create email and SMS templates that can be used in Automated Messaging, Sequences, and reps can use when manually messaging prospects. Included in these are the ability to add images, enhanced formatting options, and tokens, which dynamically populate data associated with reps and leads.
Create and edit
- Navigate to System Configuration and select either the Email Templates or SMS Templates tab.
- Click Create Email, Create SMS, or the edit icon next to an existing template. A modal will populate (shown below).
- Name your template.
- Enter the subject line. [email templates only]
- Enter the body of the message.
- Click Next Step at the bottom right of the modal.
- If you would like only specific reps to have access to the template, toggle on Visibility Controls. If toggled off, all reps will have access to the template. More details in the Select reps section below.
- Click Save Template at the bottom right of the modal.
* Note: The first text to a phone number that the texting rep has not yet texted will include the following copy by default. Any subsequent texts to that phone number by that specific rep will not include this default copy.
Prior to any copy that is added by the rep or by a template: "Thanks for opting in to text messages from <your organization name>."
After any copy that is added by the rep or by a template: "Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages."
Use dynamic tokens
Automatically populate the names, phone numbers, and email addresses of the reps who are using the template and/or existing data from the specific contacts that reps are messaging. When creating or editing a template, simply click on one of the blue tokens at the bottom of the editing modal to copy it and then paste that field where you would like it to go in the subject line* and/or body of your message.
* There are no subject lines in SMSs.

Add images, links, and emojis
Images [email templates only]
Click the image icon at the bottom right of the template creation/editing modal, select your image, crop as needed, and add to your template. Once added, you can resize and left, center, or right align the image.
Links [email templates only]
Click the link icon at the bottom right of the template creation/editing modal.
Emojis
Click the emoji icon at the bottom right of the template creation/editing modal.
Select reps
Determine which specific reps have access to specific templates when messaging prospects. This can be configured when creating or editing templates by toggling on Visibility Controls and selecting reps based on rep type (SDR or AE), teams, and/or specific reps.
Reporting [email templates only]
In the System Configuration > Email Templates section, reporting is available for each template (shown below), including % opened, % clicked, % replied, and % bounced.
Use in Automated Messaging
In System Configuration > Automated Messaging, create automated email and/or SMS messages to be sent before or after events using templates that you have created. This is a great way to remind prospects of upcoming demos, which helps increase demo hold rate.
Note that if you delete a template that is being used in an automated message, that automated message will be deleted.
Rep experience
When emailing or texting customers through Sellfire, reps will be presented with the option to select from the templates to which you have given them access (shown below). Once they select one, token data from the reps and leads will be populated in a draft, and reps can add and/or edit any information prior to sending to the prospect.
